Steps to a Stronger Self-Esteem

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

The stronger your self-esteem, the better your life. Here are some steps to help strengthen your self-esteem:

1. Accept Yourself.

Most people are unhappy with the way they look. Stop complaining about what you aren’t, and learn to accept what you are. Internal qualities are more important than external characteristics.

2. Improve Your Inner Self.

The average person spends $500 or more to improve their external appearance and less than $10 to improve their thinking. Read more books, listen to podcasts, attend seminars/workshops. Invest on your personal growth.

3. Tap Your Inner Joy

Do activities that you enjoy. Do something for others. Develop a joy list.

4. Be Matters About Yourself.

Concentrate on what you can do, not on what you can’t do. Develop a praise list, record compliments and praises you get from others.

5. Forget About Perfection.

Life is in the living. Learn to laugh at yourself.

6. Take a Chance.

The thing people often regret most in life is not taking more risks. Be brave. Step out. To risk is to grow.

7. Learn from Others.

Pick positive role models who have good self-esteem. Study them. Look for clues that will help you. Copy their good habits.

8 Realize There is Only One YOU.

Celebrate your uniqueness! This is your greatest asset.

There’s only ONE YOU!
